Why is sustainability important to you?
Sustainability is key to my personal diet. I am sensitive to where my food comes from and how it was raised/grown. Not only do I pay attention to sustainability in my diet because it’s healthy, I believe we are charged with being good stewards of this earth – focusing on sustainability helps us achieve that.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as a way to join my two hobbies – writing and baking. Since then, it has grown to a full-time career that I love. I’m still pinching myself.
Describe your blog in ten words or less:
Adventures in bread baking and other unique, tasty recipes.
What’s your favorite type of seafood?
Ooooh, that’s a tough one. I’d have to say salmon. But I’ll probably change my mind in five minutes.
What do you look for when you shop for sustainable seafood?
I look for whether it was farm-raised or wild-caught and where it came from. If I’m not sure whether or not it’s a sustainable product, I look it up on the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch.
What’s your favorite seafood recipe?
I drool over these catfish sandwiches every time I look at them.
